Came here for dinner with coworkers and had such a great time! I definitely plan on returning and checking out their happy hour menu! Food, service, prices and ambiance were all great! We sat upstairs and ordered scallion pancakes, vegetarian string beans, Dan Dan noodles, farmers style dish and one more from the entrees. The Dan Dan noodles was the star of the show! I could eat that daily. The two entrees were just okay in my opinion. A few of my coworkers ordered the lychee martini and raved about it. They said it wasn't too sweet and delicious! I can't wait to return here!

Dan Dan suggests a focus on Sichuan cuisine, renowned for its bold spices and intricate flavors. My standout favorite was the shredded potato, which provided a delightful contrast to the spice with its salty, garlicky crunch.

Hadn't been to this Dan Dan location before and only to the one in Ardmore but I really enjoyed the food here more but the ambiance in Ardmore I prefer more. Food quality was exactly the same which is a big plus. I kept it late seasonal with the Pumpkin Rice Noodles with shredded pork. VERY GOOD. Nothing else to add to it. Didn't get a single picture because I spilled water on my phone and it wouldn't act right. Shoutout to the server who offered to dry my phone off for me. You're the GOAT.

I and my partner were fans of Han Dynasty back in college and heard that the dan dan noodles at Dan Dan were quite similar, so we decided to give them a try for old-times sake. Right when we walked in, I could tell that Dan Dan was designed with maybe a younger and more "modern" vibe than even Han Dynasty, with a lot of bar seating and a second floor of dining that reminded me of a trendy Manhattan restaurant. The two of us went without a reservation and only the bar seats were available; the tight space makes me think this spot would be less suited for a family meal than most other Chinese restaurants and better for a young-adult hangout. We ordered the dan dan noodles (of course) and the cumin lamb hand-ripped noodles, with cumin lamb being a Sichuan dish I love and I wanted to see how theirs measured up. Service was quick and the food was enough for us to share and feel full. The dan dan noodles, like Han Dynasty's, had a nice nutty flavor with ample spice, though there was only a small sprinkle of ground pork and scallion and I wish there was more to add to the texture. The cumin lamb noodles were tasty but also not as good as I've had them; the noodles were so wide they were a little impractical to eat, and while it had plenty of heat, I feel like the fragrance of cumin and mala was not as much as other Sichuan places. All told, the meal was quite reasonably priced and I left pretty satisfied. I think this is a good spot for people trying Sichuan food for the first time or who don't eat much of it and want to try Chinese food that's a little different in a hip bar-like setting. But for Sichuan aficionados or those looking for a calmer ambience or a slower-paced meal, there are other restaurants that may fit the bill better.

Dined in and was able to try a few different entrees. Bumping it up as everything was nice. Ginger shredded duck was okay, mild in flavor. Lychee fish was very good, I would order this again. Fried tofu dish good as well. A bit on the higher side cost wise for some things comparatively, but all around good. It's a bit cramped inside so smaller groups are better.

Found raving reviews online in addition to the amazing photos that fans posted. I found myself in my hotel room ordering food from this amazing place. Ordered through DoorDash which my experience was pleasant. The house fried rice was sooooo good. Full of flavor and the portion was big enough to feed two. I would've loved to order more of the other entrees perhaps next visit. Thank you DANDAN . I love Asian food and this was definitely one of the BEST Chinese fried rice I have had !

This is our go to place to bring out of town friends because of how consistently good the food is and it has always been a hit. Usually we end up getting their famous DanDan noodles, Cumin chicken/lamb (prefer the chicken over the lamb) and a couple of lychee martinis. This time we wanted to try something else on the menu - got the Beef and Tripe in Chili Oil and Green Peppercorn Hot Sauce Dish. The beef and tripe in chili oil is a cold appetizer with thinly sliced pieces of beef intestine. Even though there is not much heat to it and is only mildly flavored, there is a nice aroma and tenderness to it. I think it is a great summer app and a perfect starter to a spicier main dish. The hot sauce dish is one of their spicier dishes and while it is heavy on sichuan flavors that can easily overshadow other ingredients, it was remarkably balanced and hot enough to let the flavors coming through. The large dishes always come with a ton of rice and they never skimp on the meat either.

I'd actually been to Dan Dan years ago, the last time I was in Philly, and decided to come back. Even years later, the noodles were still memorable, but this time I decided to try something else. They had a bunch of options for entrées, but I decided to go with Hot Dry Pot Dish (Chicken), since it came with a bunch of vegetables. I was very pleased with the portion size and the dish was delicious! I actually sat at the bar, since it was just me, but they had plenty of regular tables as well. The vibes were pretty relaxed, but I could see it being more lively on a Friday or Saturday night. I really enjoyed my meal here!
